Steamers Bar and Grill

Steamers Bar and Grill is a nod to Wollongong’s industrial era when steam boats serviced the south coast of New South Wales in the 1800s; transporting passengers, produce and livestock.

With a strong focus on organic, locally sourced produce, Steamers Bar and Grill  is a culinary experience not to be missed.

From dry-aging and wood smoking their organic, OBE beef in house to the exemplary quality of the produce used through the dishes, Steamers Bar and Grill are raising the bar on taste, authenticity and service.

Their organic farm sits in the valleys of Jamberoo, a rural township in NSW which is highly regarded for its nutrient rich, fertile soil. As champions of this farm-to-fork movement, Steamers Bar and Grill can ensure maximum freshness of the food, with a heavy focus on delicious seasonal varieties.

Team this together with the great communal dining experience and you won’t find anything else like it in Wollongong.

The centrepiece is a hanging reclaimed row boat with the lighting throughout reminiscent of what one might have seen on the steam boats which the restaurant is so fondly named after; copper lanterns and Edison globes, create a warm, inviting ambience.
