Simon Kinny Lewis Acoustic Show | The Yo-Yo Bar
Simon Kinny-Lewis is one of the new breed of blues guitarists making his mark worldwide. He takes the audience with him on a seismic journey of compelling, blues guitar virtuosity – along with a voice that Steve Lukather (Toto, Michael Jackson) describes as being similar to American blues star Joe Bonamassa.
His own original brand of contemporary blues and rock, combined with an uncanny ability to reach the hearts of onlookers, has given this artist from Sydney, Australia a loyal and ever-growing army of followers.
On stage Simon delivers a performance that’s all class – with tone and technique to die for. He inevitably lives up to his reputation for giving his all. His incredible band includes Tony Boyd – drums, Rob Ewan – bass, and Rick Melick (formerly with Joe Bonamassa Band) – keys. Together, they are a formidable musical combination.
Simon has produced four albums thus far:
“Behind The Blues Mask”
“Country Fried Chicken”
“Street Blues” (2016)
In a breakthrough year he was invited by Blues giant Chris Cain (USA) to perform with him at Sydney’s Basement alongside Australia’s blues guitar maestro Ray Beadle.
Some of the major music festivals in Australia at which Simon has performed include The Australian Blues Music Festival, Woodford Folk Festival, Thredbo Blues, Tamworth Country Music Festival, Manly Jazz Festival and Kiama Jazz and Blues Festival.
2017 is shaping to be an even better year with the imminent release of the new acoustic blues album “Catfish”.
