Wollongong Makers’ Market
The Wollongong Makers’ Market was held last year in Wollongong Town Hall with over 60 high-quality, locally produced, handmade, artisan goods. This year the Market will be held at the Innovation Campus in North Wollongong.
Local artists, include jewellers, blacksmiths, fashion designers, printmakers, potters, mosaic artists and more. A highly professional team of artisans and craft-smiths from the Illawarra coming together to offer the community individual, authentic, quality gifts in time for Christmas.
There is huge growth in the handmade market from old skills to new, all appreciated for talent and time taken to produce a range of choices, plus the fact that you are supporting local people offering gifts that are unique.
The Makers Market is also offering a helping hand to support Saving Our Threatened Species program in the Illawarra by joining with the National Parks and Wildlife Service (SOS). Several Volunteer Groups will be in attendance on the day promoting their work in Saving Species, both plants and animals and how you can assist. A donation will be asked for at the door to the Market and all monies raised will go to help in their work. Groups represented on the day will include The Brush-tailed Rock-wallaby, Spotted-tailed Quoll, Shorebirds, Glossy Black-cockatoo, Koalas and more.
The Innovation Campus in North Wollongong provides shoppers with a modern, inspiring precinct with free parking, free Green Bus travel to and from the venue and walking/bike trail maps.
- Enjoy coffee, tea and snacks with family and friends in a beautiful environment.
