NEW YEAR’S EVE FIREWORKS
Belmore Basin – Wollongong Harbour
5.00pm – 10.00pm
Live music, roving performers, face painting, amusement rides, and food and novelty stalls provide a lively atmosphere in the lead-up to the fireworks spectacular at 9pm.
This year, the event will also include a special Illawarra 200 light projection show from 8pm, commemorating the bicentenary of European settlement in this area.
The amusement rides will be open all weekend.

Between 4pm – 10.15pm on New Year’s Eve the following roads will be closed:
Cliff Road between Georges Place and Marine Drive
Harbour Street between Cliff Road and Smith Street, including Old Court House Lane
Harbour access ramp off Endeavour Drive.
Between 10.15pm – 10.45pm, Cliff Road between Georges Place and Harbour Street will also be closed.
Businesses within the road closure zone will be open as normal.

Fireworks: 9.00pm and 12.00pm
The Shellharbour Club will host two fireworks shows, live entertainment, free kids events and activities for a fun-filled start to 2017.

For over a decade, The Shellharbour Club has been lighting up the sky with two fireworks shows on New Years Eve.
They will bring NYE fireworks to the Shellharbour community again this year in two sessions at 9pm and 12pm.
The best place to view the fireworks will be the outdoor terrace and they are also opening their grounds to allow the people of Shellharbour to enjoy the fireworks displays. Get in early to get a good spot!
Tasman Room- Willy Wonka Themed Event
Following on from the success of previous years, the FREE family friendly New Years Eve event is back.
This year the Tasman Room will be transformed into Willy Wonka’s Chocolate Factory complete with tantalising treats, unique entertainment and of course, Oompa Loompas!
Willy Wonka and his pals will be there for a night of fun including roving kids entertainment, pop up food stalls and the songs of 2016.
Celebrations will start from 5pm, so dress the kids as their favourite Willy Wonka character and step inside the chocolate factory.
Entry is free and kids must be accompanied by guardians at all times.
The lounge will be party central.
Enjoy live entertainment from 6pm till late on New Years Eve with Sydney-based party band ‘Bonnie Johnston & Co’ helping you celebrate the end of 2016 and the first moments of 2017.
