Historic Aircraft Tarmac Day (Friday 10 April)
Step into living history at the HARS Aviation Museum with a special pre-ANZAC Day event honouring military personnel, veterans and emergency services.
What to expect:
Live aircraft ground parade (11am–12pm)
Up to 5 historic military aircraft powering up
Additional warplanes on static display
Photo opportunities with aircraft for those wearing service medals
Complimentary morning tea for medal holders
Free entry for anyone wearing service medals
This is the only place in Australia where you’ll see aircraft like the Dakota, Caribou, Neptune and Tracker powered up together — a rare and powerful tribute to service.
ANZAC Day Flyovers Across the Illawarra - Saturday 25 April
Continuing a long-standing tradition, HARS will take to the skies on ANZAC Day with an aerial salute across the region.
Flyover locations may include:
Wollongong
Shellharbour
Kiama
Nowra
Kangaroo Valley
Southern Sydney suburbs
Expect to see historic aircraft including the Dakota, Caribou and Huey helicopters flying overhead in tribute.
