The Illawarra Light Railway Museum in Albion Park is a great place to take children who love trains!

The museum has lots of different steam trains to look at and learn about, plus a cafe with drinks and snacks. Plus you and the kids will LOVE riding the miniature trains. Book online!

Rails in Time - Saturday 28 February, 10am - 2pm

Ride the Rails in Time and take a Diesel Train Main Line Ride and the Ride the Miniature Train for great family outing for all to enjoy the good old days of railways. Tour the Locomotive shed and see the works of yesteryear under taken by our volunteers and then explore the museum and see all the historical items on display of years gone by. A Trip Back in Time - Sunday 8 March, 10am - 2pm

A great family fun day awaits when Steam Train Rides returns for 2026. Ride the rails and take a trip back in time with Steam & Miniature Train rides and also as part of the day a display will see a display of Classic Cars from the Jamberoo Valley Classic Car Club and also a display of historical Farm Engines from the Southern Highland Vintage Farm Machinery Group.
