Botanic Garden Australia & New Zealand Open Day

The Wollongong Botanic Garden will be buzzing with activities on Sunday 27 May from 10am to 2pm to celebrate the inaugural Australia & New Zealand Botanic Garden Open Day, and you’re all invited.

Talk to Botanic Garden staff about local seed production and collection or enjoy a general Garden Buggy Tours by The Friends of Wollongong Botanic Garden (every 45 mins), from the duck pond.

Visit the Towri Centre where the Greenplan Nursery and The Friends of Wollongong Botanic Garden will have a pop-up plant, as well as botanical art cards made by the Friends.

There will be hands-on fun at the Discovery Centre with kitchen garden smoothies; seed bomb making; learn how to keep backyard chickens & make a recycled bird feeder; and make your own hanging kokedama string garden!
