Easter Family Fun Day | Wollongong Botanic Gardens
Wollongong Botanic Garden together with the Rotary Club of Wollongong is hosting the city’s Easter Family Fun Day on Easter Saturday, 20 April.
From 9.00am to 12.00pm, families can participate in the FREE Easter Eggsploration activity plus a number of traditional family games. See the full program below.
Pack a picnic to enjoy with your family or perhaps you’d like to grab a sausage sizzle lunch from Rotary.
Time: 9am to 12pm
Eggsplore the garden and complete the activities to score some delicious Easter eggs
Family Games & Kids Activities
Time: 10am to 12pm
Sack Races: 10am to 11am
Egg & Spoon Races: 11.30am to 12pm
In the breaks, kids can also enjoy a range of high-energy games and a colouring-in activity.
Chickens are Magicians Presentations
Times: 10am to 10.30am & 11am to 11.30am
Guided Buggy Tours
Time: 10am, 10.45am, 11.30am, 12pm, 12.45pm, 1.30pm
Enjoy a fascinating 45-minute tour of the garden in our electronic buggy that will showcase the Garden’s 18 collections and discuss the site history. Tours will start and conclude near the Duck Pond
Time: 11am to 1pm
Enjoy a leisurely family picnic or BBQ while listening to some upbeat tunes from the Wollongong Conservatorium Jazz Combo. The 5 piece jazz band features some of The Con’s best young jazz musicians.
Food and beverages
Rotary Club of Wollongong will be cooking up a storm with egg and bacon rolls in the morning and sausage sizzles as midday approaches. Delicious hot cross buns will also be for sale!
Our on-site coffee van will also be open with a great selection of hot and cold drinks as well as freshly baked cakes and muffins for sale.
