    Description

    Farm Kindy (returning in mid-2025)

We’re taking a short break from Farm Kindy and look forward to welcoming families back later this year! Head to our website to express your interest in this program and we’ll reach out when we open bookings again.

Join in at the Green Connect Farm each Thursday from 9am-11am for a wonderful morning of nature-based learning and play.

Each week we'll enjoy our sandpit, mudpit, and changing loose-parts, meet the farm animals and explore different parts of our beautiful farm. There'll be a big focus on using natural materials to understand the world around us. We'll build, draw, make and create, as well as get dirty and immerse ourselves in the great outdoors.

Farm Kindy is aimed at children aged 2-5 years. Younger children are very welcome to join, though activities may be aimed at slightly older children.

Farm Kindy runs on Thursdays throughout the school terms. We go ahead in all weather, unless it is dangerous to do so. Come prepared for the weather and prepared to get dirty! Secure your child's spot for Term 4, 2024 here now.

    Important things to note:

    • This is not a drop-off program. Parents and/or guardians must stay onsite and are responsible for the supervision of their children.
    • Participants should arrive between 9-9.30am to ensure they do not miss out on facilitated activities and mini-tours on the farm.
    • Our farm plants love rain and so do we! We don't cancel activities in wet weather unless there is a dangerous storm, so be ready to come prepared for the weather. Wear a hat and sunscreen if it's sunny or gumboots and raingear if rainy.
    • The site is a working farm; all visitors must actively supervise their children when onsite and participate in a safety briefing upon arrival.
    • The terrain at the farm is steep and can be slippery in parts. Participants may be required to walk across uneven or sloping ground.
    • Although most Farm Kindy activities take place in the Children's Garden, other areas around the farm are not accessible for wheelchairs or prams. If you have mobility restrictions or any concerns about your ability to navigate the terrain, please contact us before booking.
    • Allergen advice: Our farm is home to domestic animals as well as bees, wasps, and macadamia trees. Please pack an EpiPen if allergic and keep it with you while on site.
    • All participants, both adults and children, are required to wear enclosed shoes or boots (no thongs or sandals allowed).
