Free Kids Program at Wollongong Writers Festival

Wollongong Writers Festival is a not-for-profit arts organisation devoted to stories. Our program of free and ticketed events runs annually over the final weekend in November, when we unleash literature, art and ideas on our seaside city of Wollongong on the south coast of New South Wales. We curate a diverse array of experiences, including panels, readings, workshops, interactive performances, music and spoken word events.

We’ve got an array of entertaining and educational sessions planned for primary-school-aged children, so why not bring them along? Children of ticket-holding guardians are invited to attend Kids Program events and activities for free while their guardians are present at the venue. Children aged 5-13 years are welcome to join while their guardians attend festival sessions. Children aged under 5 must be accompanied by a guardian.

Please note, due to health and safety concerns, no food is to be consumed in Kids Program events. Please advise our volunteers of any allergies when signing up for the program. Our staff and volunteers are not qualified to administer medication, so please take that into consideration before the day.

Don’t forget to pre-book your child into each event they wish to attend. Check the program for Kids Program session times and details, then follow the links below to reserve your child’s place. It’s going to be a lot of fun!
