Helensburgh Public School Spooky Carnival
Helensburgh Public School (AKA the Haunted Place of Screams) invites you to the HPS Spooky Carnival on Friday 26th October 2018. The event will be fun for the entire family with loads of entertainment for all ages, rides, show bags and more.
“Kids and adults are welcome to embrace the spooky theme and dress up or simply come along and enjoy the carnival atmosphere” said HPS P&C President Naomi Burley. “The Spooky Carnival will also offer a fun and safe environment for kids who want to celebrate Halloween”.
Highlights of the Carnival will be the Dunk Tank, Haunted House, rides including Round Up, Giant Slide, Bungee Trampolines, Jumping Castle and more, spooky photo booth, quality food including pulled pork rolls, falafels, and sausage sizzle.
Pre-schoolers and infants are also catered for with a special “Side-Show Alley” being run by Year 6 and featuring carnival games such as Pick a Nostril, Bowl an Elf and Eyeball Surprise.
The P&C Monster Raffle will be drawn on the night with the major prize being a family holiday to the Gold Coast valued at $3,300 plus many other fantastic prizes on offer. Tickets will be sold on the night before the draw unless sold out prior.
All funds raised at the Carnival will go towards to updating the school’s technology resources and the final instalment of the playground that opened earlier this year – made possible by funding from Metropolitan Coal and Tradies Helensburgh.
The P&C will be supporting the school’s commitment to purchase 6 new interactive whiteboard projectors, 20 digital cameras/scanners, and extra laptops. These resources will provide teachers with technology tools that will enhance the teaching and learning in every classroom.
“We are calling on the community to support the school by coming along to the 2018 Spooky Carnival and having a whole heap of fun for a great cause” said Naomi. “It will be a fabulous event for all ages”.
Spooky Carnival will be held at Helensburgh Public School, Fletcher Street, Helensburgh on Friday 26th October 2018, 4pm – 9pm.
