Open to creatives of all disciplines, cultural development workers and community organisations.

Join artist and social entrepreneur Debby Maziarz as she shares her personal story of starting a circus using what she had in her pocket and tips on sustaining an arts practice, from knowing what hourly rate to charge to bartering with her dentist.

Debby is an experienced arts leader and social innovator. Founder of Melbourne’s Westside Circus, recipient of SACS Consulting NFP Executive Leadership Award (2009) and current recipient of the Australia Council’s Community Arts and Cultural Development Fellowship.

The Creative Dialogues Program

The Creative Dialogues Program 2017 offers two threads of conversation – The Basics Series and The Banter Series. The Basics Series is open to all and offers workshops and consultations for emerging artists of all disciplines. The Banter Series continues the conversation about how arts practice influences and shapes culture in Wollongong and around the world. All events are free and provided by Wollongong City Council Cultural Services.
