Located at Bulli Showground, the festival is held over 3 days, with 80 acts over multiple stages. The festival will include the sounds of folk, indie, world, roots, bluegrass, Balkan and Celtic music, as well as poetry, comedy and dance.
The festival commences on Friday afternoon at 3pm and concludes on Sunday evening with a finale with special guests.

Camping at the Illawarra Folk Festival
Camping at the Illawarra Folk Festival adds another level of enjoyment to the event. It is a great way to meet like-minded music enthusiasts and very handy to have a tent nearby if you get tired at the late-night sessions. You can camp for the weekend or visit for a day. Folk School
The Folk School aims to increase awareness of folk music traditions and provide opportunities for musicians of all ages to build on their skills & open new musical doors.
Folk school 2026 is held at the Northern Illawarra Uniting Church, the beautiful sandstone church opposite the grounds of the Illawarra Folk Festival.
Folk School is for all ages and abilities. The school aims to increase awareness of folk music traditions and provide opportunities for musicians of all ages to build on their skills & open new musical doors.
