Description
Got a kid that loves LEGO or STEM? Here's your child's chance to be taught by a robotics team that is now the top team in the world for STEM Education, and Outreach. This team doesn't just build robots - they change the world!
Project Bucephalus took home in 2025 the Impact Award at the FIRST Championships in the USA, the single highest award in the global program! Project Bucephalus Robotics - are only the 4th team outside the USA to ever receive this honour in 32 years - and they’re from right here in the Illawarra! Recognised for their groundbreaking work in STEM education, they’ve officially joined the FIRST Hall of Fame.
And the fun doesn’t stop there.....
Running since 2011, this Wollongong-based group offers dynamic robotics workshops - their after-school and school holiday workshops are an excellent activity for STEM-minded (or LEGO-obsessed) kids!
The October School holidays are just around the corner and they have 4 days of Robo Camp ready to go. These holidays we will be running four workshops with thanks to TAFE NSW and the University of Wollongong in both the Shoalhaven and Wollongong.
These workshops are suitable for novice and experienced students (7 years +) and provide different activities to those that take place in our after-school classes.
Attending a Robo Camp can be a fun challenge for a STEM-minded student, or unique present or an exciting adventure for a LEGO fan.

Shoalhaven School Holiday Dates:
- Workshop #1 (1st & 2nd October): Introduction to Robotics (Shoalhaven)
- Workshop #2 (1st & 2nd October): Higher, Longer, Further (Shoalhaven)
