Queen Porter Stomp are bringing their unique mangrove swamp magic to Seeker Brewing to launch their 'Beat of My Kind' album.
Drawing on the serpentine and muddy currents of the Hawkesbury River, their sound swirls somewhere between a raucous New Orleans street parade and the smoky haze of a late-night folk festival. In a feet-stomping, skirt-twirling, dance floor frenzy, Queen Porter Stomp send you a blaze of horns and a swinging rhythm section with a banjo sharp enough to cut through a moonless night - all held together front and centre by Crystal Barreca’s honey like voice.
You can catch them at Seeker Brewing 14th March, 7pm till late.
From Woodford to Falls Festival, Queen Porter Stomp have built a reputation for music that celebrates brass-soaked swing and river-born rhythm. At the heart of this celebration is song writing rich with sweet harmonies that uniquely captures the ebb and flow of love and life on the river, peppered with the grit and bustle of Sydney’s Inner West.
Formed in 2015 from the embers of the Crystal Barreca Band, QPS bring an energy to the stage that is both joyful and seductive and pays homage to influences such as Norah Jones, Sierra Ferrell and Tuba Skinny.
