Reconnect with the art of hand writing with friends and family at Fairy Meadow Officeworks

To help rediscover and celebrate handwriting, Officeworks Fairy Meadow will be hosting a series of creative workshops developed by positive psychologist Dr. Suzy Green that are based around gratitude journaling, goal setting, letter writing and creative writing in store September 2nd until September 24th on Saturday and Sunday from 11.00am to 12.00pm.

The fun-filled day aims to inspire Australians to put pen to paper to rediscover the lost art of handwriting following an Australian academic study with Deakin University which revealed that there’s an easy way to relieve feelings of stress, fear and anxiety, and it’s something you’ve been doing your whole life – writing by hand. In fact, just 15-20 minutes of handwriting each day can result in a greater sense of life satisfaction and wellbeing.

There will be opportunities throughout the workshop for friends and families to try their hand at writing – from gratitude journaling, goal setting, to letter writing and creative stories, with tips and tricks on how to incorporate this into daily life revealed on the day. The workshops will run each weekend in September in 19 selected Officeworks stores with a range of schools across Australia participating.
