Surf and Skate Festival Shellharbour
Get excited for summer in the city with Surf and Skate Festival Shellharbour.
This jam-packed festival will involve four main elements, bringing together the region’s best skateboarders, surfers, artists and musicians across 10 days of competition, events, workshops and exhibitions.
Featuring local surfing clubs from Stanwell Park to Ulladulla, the Southbridge Boardriders competition is set to uncover the best up and coming Boardriders from across the South Coast.
This exciting new event will be held on Sunday, 15 December at The Farm, one of Shellharbour’s most attractive surf beaches located within Killalea National Surfing Reserve.
Celebrating Southbridge Boardrider’s 40th anniversary the competition will see local Boardriders clubs competing for prize money, giveaways and bragging rights to get their hands on the region’s newest perpetual championship trophy designed and custom-built by Albion Park Men’s Shed.
Utilising the world-class Shellharbour Skate Park, this FREE event will showcase skateboarders from across the South Coast and celebrate the different cultural aspects that skateboarding brings to Shellharbour City.
The Skate Competition will kick-off on the first weekend of the Shellharbour Surf and Skate Festival, and will bring two high powered days of all things skate.
Shellharbour Skate Competition will feature:
- A street and bowl competition run in partnership with the Australian Skateboarding Community Initiative with prize money up for grabs and the chance for direct qualification to state and national competitions.
- Music and giveaways, as well as workshops and demonstrations led by professional skaters.
