Waking The Camino in Spain and France
The CAMINO is a network of pilgrimage paths leading to Santiago-de-Compostela in N.W. Spain. Pilgrims have walked these paths for over a thousand years. Today, believers and non-believers, people of all ages and nationalities are walking the same paths and being deeply affected by the experience.
In these acclaimed audio-visual presentations by Peter Kearney, Peter provides live commentary while photographs and music are played from large screen television. Beautiful landscapes, ancient villages, interesting pilgrims, camino practicalities. Each session duration 85 minutes approximately + Q&A session at conclusion. Peter has walked both 700+km sections of the Camino.
Attend one session or both:
11.00am-12.30pm. WALKING THE CAMINO – SPAIN
The most popular Camino path, 700+km from St. Jean Pied-de-Port to Santiago in Galicia, NW Spain. Also known as the Camino Frances though it is mostly through Spain.
2.00-3.30pm: ‘ULTREIA!’ a CAMINO in FRANCE
Peter’s latest Camino presentation – not seen before in Wollongong. The 700+km path from Le Puy-en-Velay in the massif-central region to St. Jean Pied-de-Port, close to the Spanish border. Fewer people walk this path, but it is just as interesting and beautiful as the Spanish path.
