We're so pleased to announce that the Wollongong Makers Market will go ahead this year – with new dates, times and venue!
The Wollongong Makers Market has been held at the UOW Innovation Campus North Wollongong over the last couple of years and due to this years new situation we have moved into The Illawarra Sports Stadium . Plenty of SPACE for all to enjoy and celebrate Illawarra's handmade creations.
The Illawarra Sports Stadium is located in Berkeley at Fred Finch Park. It will be held over 2 big days, Saturday the 28th and Sunday the 29th of November from 8.30am to 3pm.
Of course we'll be following all guidelines to ensure a COVID Safe event. The new venue will allow for wide aisles and plenty of space between stalls, and having it over two days will ensure no one misses out, as visitor numbers will need to be monitored.
The market also continues to support the volunteers who help look after our native animals and habitats in conjunction with the Saving our Species program.
Over 100 Artisans will be represented at the market - silversmiths , woodwork, photography , basket weaving ,patchwork, knitting, sewing, beadwork , repurposed and recycled goods, crochet, painting pottery and more.
Help preserve Manyana's forests! We will be also be taking donations at the door to help purchase land in Manyana back from the developers and to help secure Old Growth Forest for the native fauna and Flora. A donation at the door will support the quest to save a 20ha parcel of unburnt, mature native forest, which borders Conjola National Park, from being cleared for a housing estate.
