What is good / amazing / not so great about living in Windang
The LOCATION – you are a maximum 500 metres from ocean. Windang is based at the entrance to Lake Illawarra. You’ll never tire of the endless aquamarine views from the bridge. You are a 15 minute drive from Wollongong and a 10 minute drive to Shellharbour. It’s an even flat suburb so think large even back yards for kids to play, perfect for families or retiree’s.
It’s got all the basics you need! Corner shops, doctors, cafes, fish and chips, a chemist, a club and a pub, plus some the best fishing and swimming in the Illawarra. Plus just a short drive to major shopping centres.
A small, friendly community. Windang’s sleepy old fishing village feel, is morphing into a family friendly choice with access to the stunning Illawarra lifestyle.
