Climbing for Everyone – No Experience Needed

We've got over 100 kid-friendly climbs, meaning there is something for every age and ability. There are no age restrictions to climb—if they can get up the wall, they can climb! We even have harnesses to fit the smallest of children.

• Top Rope Climbing – Fully supervised and perfect for beginners. (Under 12s must have an adult present to hold the ropes).
• Bouldering – No ropes, just pure climbing freedom over soft mats.
• Auto-Belays – Climb solo with ease.

Kids & Families Welcome

• Walk-ins Welcome – No bookings needed for general climbing—just walk in! Open 7 days a week.
• Term-Based Learn to Climb – 10-week programs for kids to learn technique in a fun, game-based environment. Casual trial classes available.
• School Holiday Workshops – Keep the kids active and engaged during the break.

Hangdog Recovery Cave – Infrared Sauna & Ice Bath Wollongong

Looking for infrared sauna and ice bath recovery in Wollongong? Hangdog’s private Recovery Cave combines a 60°C infrared sauna with an ice bath maintained below 6°C, creating a dedicated space to unwind and recover after climbing, training or a busy week. Sessions are suitable for individuals or two people, making it an easy option to add some recovery time into your routine.

• 1-hour session: $35
• Extra person: $10 (maximum two people)
• Recovery Cave membership: $20 per week
• Hangdog climbing members: Recovery Cave membership included
• Location: 130 Auburn Street, Wollongong
• Ages: 12+; under 18s require a parent/guardian present.
