Madeleine Godber Psychology

Hi I'm Madeleine. I'm a clinical psychologist working on Dharawal country, NSW. I have over 14 years of experience working in mental healthcare, 9 of those as a psychologist.

At the heart of things, I'm just a human who cares a lot about other humans. As a clinician, I value the science behind psychology and I use evidence based methods to help my clients toward their unique therapeutic goals. I centralise compassion and acceptance as my core values as a psychologist, and I take a non-judgemental, humanistic approach.

I place value on both assisting people to better understand the challenges which have brought them to therapy, and developing tools to feel empowered to face and resolve those challenges. I respect diversity of race, culture, sexuality, gender, ability, religion and neurotype.

I have experience working across the lifespan and in a variety of clinical settings, including residential drug and alcohol rehabilitation, hospital and community mental health services. I am trained as a yoga teacher and enjoy integrating these practices into therapy for nervous system regulation.
