One of the Illawarra’s most iconic annual events is back! The MS Gong Ride returns on Sunday 1 November 2026, bringing thousands of cyclists together to raise vital funds to support people living with multiple sclerosis.
However you choose to participate, it’s your chance to be part of an incredible day while making your kilometres count for an important cause.
Take on the legendary 80km ride from Tempe Recreation Reserve or choose the 53km ride starting at Preston Park in Engadine.
Both routes take riders on an incredible journey towards Wollongong, with spectacular scenery along the way before crossing the finish line at Thomas Dalton Park and celebrating at the Event Village.
80km Ride: Tempe Recreation Reserve → Wollongong
53km Ride: Preston Park, Engadine → Wollongong
When: Sunday 1 November 2026
Finish: Thomas Dalton Park, Wollongong
Age: Riders must be aged 12+ on event day.
You don’t have to tackle 53km or 80km to be part of the action! The MS Gong Virtual Ride, powered by JetBlack Cycling, gives you two different ways to participate.
Join the Virtual Ride Zone at Thomas Dalton Park: Head to the Wollongong Event Village and take part in a relay-style team challenge on stationary smart bikes. Register with your own team or sign up individually and be allocated to one.
Ride virtually from home: Have a Zwift-compatible indoor trainer? Register to take part remotely and ride the virtual MS Gong course from home.
When: Sunday 1 November 2026
Virtual Ride start: 9am
Cost: $45 per Virtual Rider
Age: 12+
Take on the MS Gong Ride individually or make it a challenge with friends, family or workmates. Participants can also fundraise for MS Plus, helping provide services and support for Australians living with multiple sclerosis.
Whether you choose the 80km ride, 53km ride or Virtual Ride, it’s a brilliant opportunity to challenge yourself, get involved in an iconic Illawarra event and make your kilometres count for an important cause.
Choose your challenge, start fundraising and get ready for an unforgettable Sunday 1 November 2026.
