Reclaim the Night 2026

Reclaim the Night Illawarra 2026 - Thursday 29 October.

Join in for a peaceful, family-friendly rally raising awareness to end gender-based violence and sexual harassment.

This is NOT a women-only event. everyone is welcome! Statistically, we all know and love someone affected by violence, harassment, or inequality. Rates of domestic violence assault in the Illawarra have risen by 10% over the last two years, making this a national crisis that touches our entire community.

Whether you’re marching or showing support, every voice matters.

Schedule:

• 6:15 PM: Meet & gather at Andrew Lysaght Park
• 6:45 PM: March to Flagstaff Hill Lighthouse for vigil, speeches & lighting of the lighthouse

• Wear Purple or Orange (or any colour you like!)
• Bring a sign or grab one of our pre-made options at the event
• Bring your friends, family, co-workers, or pets
• Can’t march? No worries! Meet us right at the lighthouse
