Ride4Rotary is an all-inclusive, family friendly, cycling charity event held at the Unanderra Velodrome on Sunday May 19.
The event is a partnership between Illawarra's Rotary Clubs and Southern Youth and Family Services (SYFS) and has been running since 2014, with the exception of the 2020 which was unfortunately cancelled due to COVID.
SYFS is a local charity that has the main purpose of supporting and caring for children, young people, adults and families who are disadvantaged, including those who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness and their families. This work provides supported accommodation, community social housing, counselling, mediation, support and the delivery of a range of programs to improve the life situation of children, young people, adults and families.
Participants can choose to ride Live on May 19 by selecting a half hour ride slot, or ride virtually - meaning they can ride anytime and anywhere they like from May 1st to May 19th.
It's really about encouraging people of all ages and abilities to be involved in their own way and support vulnerable young people, so it could even just be a 5-10 walk if that's what works for you!
The Live Event is a Family Fun Day featuring food and beverage stalls, a roaming magician, footy clinic, petting zoo and face painter as well as sponsor stalls and activities.
Proudly supported by BluescopeWIN Community Partners.
