Where to Vote in Wollongong & the Illawarra – Federal Election, Saturday 3 May, 2025
The 2025 Federal Election is happening on Saturday, 3 May — and if you live in the Illawarra, it’s almost time to cast your vote.
Prefer to vote before 3 May? Find your nearest early voting centre here. (Just make sure you tick the “Pre-poll locations” box when searching.)
Here is where to vote on Election Day around Wollongong (and secure your democracy sausage!).
Locals are part of one of three electoral divisions: Cunningham, Whitlam, or Gilmore. Not sure which one you’re in? Quickly check with the Australian Electoral Commission (AEC) here.
Ways to Vote:
You have a few options to make sure your vote counts:
Postal Vote:
- If you can’t make it to a polling booth on election day, apply for a postal vote here.
- Your ballot must be completed by election day and returned within 13 days to be counted.
Telephone Voting:
- Voters who are blind or have low vision can apply for telephone-assisted voting during early voting and on election day. Learn more here.
Voting on Election Day
- Polling booths will be open 8am to 6pm on Saturday, 3 May.
