Science Space has school holidays sorted with live science shows, immersive planetarium experiences, hands-on STEM activities and their exciting new Energy Futures Zone!
Watch things explode in Up in Flames, be amazed by Liquid Nitrogen demonstrations, journey through space in the planetarium and discover interactive exhibits designed to spark curiosity in kids of all ages. For the ultimate science adventure, don't miss their popular Curiosity Days, combining experiments, challenges, planetarium shows and hands-on learning all in one action-packed day.
Science Space is open every day of the school holidays from 10am - 4pm. School Holiday Camp hours have been extended to 8:45am-4:30pm.

Science Space School Holiday STEM Camps – Ages 6–12
Looking for a full-day school holiday camp with an educational twist? Science Space has three action-packed STEM camps for kids aged 6–12 (Years 1–6), combining a different themed challenge each day with hands-on STEM activities, interactive exhibits, a planetarium show, live science show + more.
- Flight Academy – Tuesday 29 September: Design flying machines for a vertical wind tunnel, create the ultimate paper plane, build and blast off custom rockets + watch a spectacular liquid nitrogen rocket launch. Book here now.
- LEGO Robotics – Thursday 1 October: Build vehicles and wacky machines with LEGO, then use iPads to create code sequences and program inventions to complete different challenges. Book here now.
- Game Designers – Wednesday 7 October: Become a video game developer for the day! Use Pixicade and Bloxels to create a playable platform game, design your own character + build custom video game controllers using Makey Makey circuit boards. Book here now.
Camps run 9.15am–3.30pm, with drop-off from 8.45am and pick-up between 3.30pm–4pm. There are only 24 places per camp, and kids need to bring morning tea, lunch, a water bottle and hat.

The team from Aspire is back with their pop-up kiosk (10 - 2pm) and their new food truck (11 - 2pm) serving up a range of hot food and snacks! Keep your family refuelled and powered up as you explore all the interactive fun at UOW Science Space - perfect for keeping little (and big!) explorers energised for the day!
