School Holidays at Science Space: Supercharged Science!

Power up your school holidays this Summer at UOW Science Space!

• Brand new exhibits - Energy Futures Zone: Step into the future and spark your curiosity with Energy Futures - our brand-new, hands-on exhibition that's all about energy, excitement and discovery! From clean energy tech to interactive displays, there’s something for everyone to see, touch, and marvel at. Perfect for kids, parents and curious minds alike - come spark some big fun this school break!
• Pop up fun - Kinetic Corner: Join us for pop up science busking fun at the entrance to our new Energy Futures Zone Spin, bounce, shake, launch and fly as we explore the science of energy in action! Daily, times vary.
• Kiosk: The team from Piccolo Me is back with their pop-up kiosk, serving a delicious selection of light meals, snacks, and drinks throughout the school holidays. Open 11am - 2pm, 27 December 2025 - 31 January 2026.

Planetarium Shows: 20 December - 1 February

• All ages
• Tickets are required for all visitors aged 3 years and over.
• 11:15 am - Tycho Goes to Mars (younger audiences)
• 11:45 am - Solar System Expedition (all ages)

Live Science Shows: 20 December - 1 February

• 1:00pm - Liquid Nitrogen (suitable for older audiences)

Their popular Curiosity Days for ages 6-12 years are back these school holidays with three different themed programs to choose from!

There will be the opportunity to enjoy both a live science show and an intergalactic adventure in our planetarium, with ample time to explore our interactive exhibits and pop-up school holiday activities. Each child will also receive a certificate of participation and a $5 gift voucher for our Science Shop.

• DROP OFF: Drop off from 8:45am for 30min exhibit explore time (meet at front reception desk)
• PROGRAM: Our activities will officially start at 9:15am
• PICK UP: Between 3:30 - 4:00pm (from STEM Zone upstairs)
