WollCon’s talented Voice Teacher, Trish Delaney-Brown, will lead an amazing band featuring WollCon’s staff and delightful performances from the WollCon children’s choirs and the Hummingbirds. Plus, the Circus Monoxide Youth Troupe is bringing their Christmas circus show, and there will even be some cheerful elves joining in the fun!

The Song Company’s ‘Hark!’ is returning to Wollongong this year, and we couldn’t be more thrilled! Guest-directed by Andrew O’Connor, this show is touring Wollongong, Newcastle, Sydney, and Blackheath. This extraordinary show reflects on and celebrates “the Christmas story and the little everyday miracle of new life with music and poetry old and new, both sacred and secular” (O’Connor). Bulli Anglican Church is all set to host another amazing Christmas Carols and Markets afternoon on the 8th of December. Located at 66 Park Road, Bulli, bring your picnic rug or folding chair and browse the markets filled with homemade Christmas gifts, pottery, plants, cakes and goodies. Enjoy dinner with food trucks on-site, including great pizza, Mexican food, BBQ and more.
There will also be face painting, a jumping castle, and a photo booth for your Christmas photo. Bulli Anglican Church is also collecting food and toys for Toys ‘n’ Tucker, so bring a toy or food item to donate to those in need this year. Follow the Toys ‘n’ Tucker link for information on what to donate. On Christmas Day, services will be inside the church at 8:30 am and 10 am.
Carols on the Court will be held at Bulli PCYC on December 8, from 4 pm. It will be hosted by the wonderful team at Village Church, who meet at Bulli PCYC every Sunday at 4 pm. This will be a family-friendly event with Christmas carols and more, where everyone is welcome.
Join Waniora Public School’s community for their Christmas Carols event on Thursday, November 28th, from 5-7 pm! They will celebrate on the school’s back oval at 17 Ursula Road, Bulli, and they can’t wait to see you there! Get ready to sing along as the school band performs Christmas carols starting at 5:30 pm. And guess who’s coming? Santa will arrive in a fire truck at 6:30 pm, bringing all the holiday cheer! A BBQ and other tasty food will be available from 5 pm, so come hungry! Shellharbour City Council is running a huge Carol’s by Candlelight event on the 6th of December from 6-9 pm. It will be held at Centenary Fields (Croome Road Sporting Complex). This is set to be a gorgeous event, with music, circus performers, food vendors (including food for dinner, dessert, and a coffee cart), and an atmosphere full of Christmas cheer. They even have a House of Letters, where your children (or adults) can post a letter to Santa.
Illawarra Mega Indoor Christmas Market will be held on December 1 from 10 am until 3 pm at Shellharbour City Stadium. Over 135 market stalls will offer a wide range of goods and services for your Christmas shopping. Santa will attend for free photos with a beautiful backdrop and Christmas craft activities for kids, and the Wollongong Harmony Chorus will sing Christmas carols. You can also enjoy delicious food from various vendors and an on-site cafe. The market will be indoors at a venue with disabled access and ample parking. Entry is a gold coin donation, and children under 12 get in for free.

Figtree Anglican Church knows how to host a fantastic event, especially for Christmas. Their Christmas Carols evening will be held on December 14, from 5:30-9:30 pm. Get ready for a fun-filled evening! Figtree High School will be the site for this free event, featuring classic carols, carnival rides, food vans, and fun activities for kids of all ages, culminating with an impressive fireworks display at 9:25 pm. This carols event will be held on December 7. Bring your picnic rug or chair and enjoy entertainment from 6 pm. Carols start at 7:30 pm, and a fireworks display begins at 9 pm. Food stalls are available on site.
Fairy Meadow Anglican Church (corner of Jardine Street and Princes Hwy, Fairy Meadow) is having a community Christmas Carols event on the 8th of December. Carols start at 6 pm, and there will be various activities, including cookie decorating, a petting zoo, face painting, a jumping castle, and food trucks. After the carols finish, there is an option to stay for a viewing of ‘Home Alone’ at their outdoor cinema, starting at 8 pm. Austinmer and Thirroul Anglican Churches are hosting Carols by the Sea on December 8 at 7 pm. Bring your picnic dinner or drinks and a picnic rug or chair to enjoy some traditional and modern Christmas Carols by the beach. Austinmer Anglican Church will hold church services on Christmas Eve at 5 pm and 11 pm. St David’s Thirroul will hold a church service at 9:30 am on Christmas Eve. Then, on Christmas Day, both churches have a 9 am service.
Corrimal Community Church’s annual Carols in the Street will be held on December 8 at 4 p.m. With an ice cream van, coffee van, and carols starting at 5 p.m., there is something for kids and adults alike. Local artists will perform, and even Santa will make a special appearance!
