In Wollongong, we are lucky to be spoilt for choice when it comes to fantastic food options. Even in the throes of lockdown, local restaurants, cafes, and bakeries have been coming to our rescue with yummy treats to sustain our appetites, and boredom.
I wanted to put together a little shortlist of a few of the fantastic offers I have come across for this upcoming Father’s Day Sunday that are sure to make him feel special and your life easier.
Nothing says love like a box of sweet treats just for Dad, so as soon as I saw these lovely boxes from One Cake Down, I knew they had to be included in the list. Boxes range in size and price with both pickup and delivery options. A little pro tip from me to you, the bigger the box, the more likely he will share. 🙂
Some of you may remember that I am a massive fan of Steamers for the incredible service and the mouth-watering food. This year they are offering Father’s Day 4-Course Packages as well as their inspired Take Away Menu Pie Menu, which would make for the perfect Father’s Day Dinner. Orders for the Packages close Thursday at 4 pm, though the Take-Away menu is available every day and filled with some of the most exciting flavour options you could ever imagine in a pie.
If Dad loves the exotic tastes of Vietnamese food, don’t miss out on this deal from Little Vietnam in Wollongong with Father’s Day Platters that will make your tastebuds tingle. These are available in two sizes and packed full of goodness.
Looking for something sweet to make a good impression? You can’t go past the Portugese Tarts from Yum Yum Bakery and Cafe in Wollongong. I absolutely love these things and could eat a whole box of them by myself. Ok fine, I have eaten a whole box by myself. You can’t go wrong.
Honourable mention to South Sailor in Thirroul where the Father’s Day Seafood Packages sold out before I could share them with you. Be sure to check out their daily specials to get in on the action.
I hope all the Dads out there have a wonderful day filled with love and relaxation. Stay safe, friends.
