Seafoam Cafe & Byrne Surf Shop

Seafoam Cafe combines excellent coffee with surf culture vibes inside Byrne Surf Shop opposite the station. Their acai bowls are especially popular, and there’s something undeniably cool about grabbing coffee inside a surf shop before heading to the beach.

Buck Hamblin

Once a beloved local shoe shop, the venue has been transformed into a warm and welcoming cafe while still retaining much of its original character.

Quite possibly the only place in the whole of Wollongong & Illawarra where you can choose between 20 milkshake or thickshake flavours – from cinnamon doughnut to grape hubba bubba! Saffron’s is an old-school style milk bar packed with milkshakes, affordable eats and nostalgic charm. Families especially love the lolly bar and casual atmosphere. It’s almost as old as Thirroul – and locals LOVE it.
